The Theological Studies Minor within the Bachelor of Theology is designed to prepare students for further studies, postgraduate practical training for vocations in Christian ministry or missions, and various forms of secular employment including religious education. The structure of this Minor builds upon the foundational biblical and theological subjects which make up the compulsory Bachelor of Theology core. The Theological Studies Minor requires students to acquire a proficiency in a range of theological topics, allowing the student to expand, deepen and broaden their knowledge and understanding of theology and philosophy. The inclusion of electives in the Bachelor of Theology course provides the student with the opportunity to pursue the study of subjects or areas that have a personal appeal to the student from the subjects contained within the other streams in the Bachelor of Theology program. This element of the course design not only allows for areas of personal interest but also, especially when combined with the Biblical Studies Minor, can provide skills required for future vocation such as preaching, teaching or mission work.
