YT770 Youth Work Field Education 2 Part A
On successful completion of this unit, the student will be able to:
Develop and reinforce the learning experiences and outcomes already experienced in specified complementary units in the course
Appreciate contemporary debates about professionalism and ethics in respect to youth work utilising a Christian worldview.
Demonstrate an understanding of key legal and justice issues pertaining to young people throughout the youth sector
Demonstrate a conceptual and practical understandings of youth policy and how this is operates in the sector and in the lives of young people, and be able to demonstrate an understanding of key policy issues pertaining to young people in specified areas and sites
Demonstrate an understanding of arguments used to in the workplace to legitimate professional status and understand the different ways youth work identity is articulated
This unit continues the placement started in YT770 Youth Work Field Education 2 Part A and must be taken in the semester immediately after that.
Results of Part A will be held until the completion of part B when both parts will receive the same grade.

There will possibly be a difference in the schedule and/or the prescribed assessment tasks, however both will cover and assess the same content.
