On successful completion of this unit, the student will be able to:
Create a research report/thesis which applies a specialised and advanced understanding of appropriate youth mental health and wellbeing theories and frameworks.
Investigate a new research design.
Appraise and synthesise research results.
Evaluate research findings against existing specialised knowledge and practice in youth mental health and wellbeing.
Formulate conclusions and evaluate the practical implications of the research project for the specialisation in youth mental health and wellbeing.
This unit will invite students to synthesise and apply the specialised knowledge they have gathered in youth mental health and wellbeing. Students will investigate and apply the research design and question developed in Unit YH905 Research Methods and Critical Thinking. They will collect and evaluate their results, and synthesise their findings with those found in the existing literature. Their new and original research will used to create a formal research report/thesis.
