MT580 Statistics for Decision Making
On successful completion of this unit, the student will be able to:
Calculate probability where conditions are dependent, independent and mutually exclusive.
Explain hypothesis testing
Apply statistical tests, including the T-Test and P-Test
Undertake a statistical data investigation including identifying variables and measures and proposing a method of data collection that will answer the question posed
Calculate linear regression on data sets
This unit builds on the material from MT5XX Statistics for Decision making by looking at further uses of statistics to determine whether hypothesises can be verified using relevant distributions or whether conclusions drawn from data analysis are valid.
