On successful completion of this unit, the student will be able to:
Critically evaluate key moments, issues and people in the history of Christianity in Australia.
Critically assess the role of the “silenced voices” in Australian Christian history.
Construct and present an oral history project giving voice to those silenced in Australian Christian History
The powerful around the world and in Australia have silenced the voice of many groups at many times. This unit looks at those silenced in the history of the Australian Church, particularly women, and through oral history hopes to let them speak today.
