On successful completion of this unit, the student will be able to:
Analyse the impact of the European invasion upon indigenous Australians.
Evaluate different interpretations of the histories of interaction between Europeans and indigenous Australians.
Explain the importance of oral tradition in examining indigenous perspectives.
This unit will examine the complex history of relations between indigenous and non-indigenous peoples in Australia since 1770.
