On successful completion of this unit, the student will be able to:
Identify and engage with diverse cultural understandings of and approaches to history regarding the early 20th century
Identify and describe key social, political and economic developments that shaped the early 20th century
Use participatory classroom practices to stimulate student discovery of material and student ability to articulate realistic perspectives from past societies and eras
Use both primary and secondary sources in explaining major historical events in the early 20th century
This unit examines the events of the early twentieth century as well explores how history is written by looking at the methods used by historians of this period.
