On successful completion of this unit, the student will be able to:
Demonstrate broad knowledge of the research around the issue chosen
A clear understanding of the current response by schools to this issue
Reasonable based conclusions of implications for effective secondary teaching
Teaching candidates will negotiate a topic or issue related to becoming an effective secondary school teacher, that is only partially covered or not covered at all in existing units. It will provide opportunity to significantly understand the issue at a deeper level. You will be required to design your research project in negotiation with your supervisor, at which time an appropriate meeting schedule will be established.
