Description
This minor gives students the skills to counsel or relate to youth going through difficulties.
Students must complete 4 units in Counselling OR Youth Work.
The Counselling Units to be completed are:
- CN510 Introduction to Counselling
- CN520 Personal Philosophy of Counselling Practice
- CN611 Basic Counselling Skills
- CN603 Strengths-based Collaborative Approaches to Counselling OR CN605 Counselling for Addiction
The Youth Work units to be completed are:
- SS601 Ethical and Professional Practice
- YT501 Theories of Youth Work
- YT541 Youth Work and the Youth Sector
- YT720 Trauma Informed Youth Work
