On successful completion of this unit, the student will be able to:
Identify and demonstrate specific skills required for mission or ministry through extended first-hand experience and training in a defined setting.
Analyse and discuss the foundational theoretical principles related to their ministry or mission work.
Exercise action-reflection skills as part of the students own personal, spiritual, theological and missional development.
Evaluate specific ministry or mission experiences, and present a coherent and independent exposition of the result in clear written format.
This unit will provide students with a structured environment for development and formation (theological, spiritual, ministerial and/or missional) in the context of practical ministry and/or mission experience. At the conclusion of the unit, the student is expected to be able to evaluate their internship experience, evidence development in practical skills and personal character commensurate with a developing vocation in ministry/mission.
The unit will utilise some or all of the following:
Teaching strategies may include: lectures, tutorials and weekend schools; class discussions; field trips; presentation of instructional material in the form of printed documentation, DVD, video and audio tape and online interaction; and the use of ministry observations and critical incident reports.
Students will also learn from personal study and reflection, preparation of assignments, assessment comments on their work and debriefing interview with module supervisor.

This unit may be available in different modes of delivery i.e. online and face-to-face as listed above. The unit content will not differ between these modes of delivery. There will possibly be a difference in the schedule and/or the prescribed assessment tasks, however both will cover and assess the same content.
