Unit Description

This unit details basic knowledge of Christian traditions and basic knowledge of historical theology including the development of theological beliefs. The unit shall introduce students to doctrinal differences, differences in theological opinion, and the language of a range of Christian denominations. The unit shall detail some basic biblical knowledge including the Old and New Testaments and may include reference to the Apocrypha. The student shall also be exposed to basic tools used in Scriptural research which will include most of the following: a concordance, a Bible dictionary, Bible commentaries, denominational statements of doctrine, and set readings.
