Unit Description

This unit involves the learner developing foundational knowledge of theology, including theological beliefs and relevant contexts.

The unit begins by asking and then answering the question: What is theology?. The unit then considers the Bible and outlines several reasons as why Christians should read it. Against this background learners are introduced to tools such as dictionaries, encyclopedias and concordances and how they are useful tools for biblical research.

The unit concludes by highlighting how the Bible gives God’s insight into contemporary social issues.
